Ryan A. Haddad is an Associate in the Energy Group, where he counsels oil and gas industry clients with respect to the acquisition and divestiture of oil, gas, and mineral assets. Mr. Haddad is experienced in rendering certified surface, drilling, and supplemental title opinions, as well as the negotiation of leases, purchase and sale agreements, and mineral deeds for upstream and midstream clients operating in the Appalachian Basin.
Additionally, Mr. Haddad represents energy clients in operational transactions, including master service and sale agreement negotiations, with a focus on targeted indemnification and insurance provisions.
Prior to joining Burns White, Mr. Haddad served as Contracts Counsel at a regional oil and gas exploration company, where he handled operational contracts, negotiated indemnification provisions with well-site vendors, and advised on risk mitigation and allocation strategies. He also has extensive experience in researching and rendering certified drilling, supplemental, division order, and mineral title opinions, and counseling clients on drilling contracts, exploration agreements, joint operating agreements, and mineral deeds.
Mr. Haddad graduated from American University Washington College of Law in 2012. During law school, he received the 2012 Advanced Oil & Gas Law Outstanding Student Award for his analysis of the mechanisms at issue in Beardslee v. Inflection Energy. In addition, Mr. Haddad participated in the WCL General Law Clinic and served as Marketing Editor of Sustainable Development Law & Policy. He obtained a B.A. in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009.
Mr. Haddad is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
