Jenna R. DiFrancesco is a Member with the Energy Group at Burns White, where she primarily focuses her practice on a wide range of transactional matters in the oil and gas industry, including due diligence review, title curative measures, and certified title opinions for clients operating in the Marcellus and Utica Shale. She also has significant experience abstracting, reviewing, and certifying coal title.
Jenna brings a unique and seasoned perspective to her energy practice at the firm. As the former title department manager at Rice Energy, a rapidly expanding natural gas and oil company operating in the Appalachian Basin, Jenna was instrumental in developing its title department from a staff of one to more than 20 individuals. In addition, she was a key player in supporting the company’s expanding operations in Pennsylvania and Ohio and has extensive title experience in both states. Of note, Jenna successfully managed several major due diligence projects, including the acquisition of 46,000 acres in eastern Ohio. She was also responsible for developing and managing a full abstracting team, title administration team, and final review program for Rice’s leaseholds in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Prior to joining Rice Energy, Jenna worked as an associate at Wiest, Muolo, Noon and Swinehart in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, focusing on real estate and family law matters. A licensed title agent, she helped to establish protocol and tracking systems for the firm’s real estate department, in addition to closing multiple commercial and residential real estate transactions.
Jenna graduated with a J.D. from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where she was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Women’s Law Caucus, as well as a contributor to the Journal of Law and Education. During law school, she volunteered at the Kentucky Division of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence, Susquehanna Valley Women in Transition, and the Louisville Divorce Clinic. Jenna received a B.A. in Government and Political Affairs from Millersville University. She was a member of the university’s Sigma Phi Delta sorority.
